An Introduction to Chiropractic Wellness

All chiropractors begin with the paradigm that good spinal alignment is essential to maintaining good overall health, flexibility, posture, higher resistance to disease, and more energy for living. Spinal misalignment (subluxation) distorts your nervous system, and has been shown to have a negative effect on health due to the adverse effect it has on your nervous system.  Our nerves supply every organ and all functions within our bodies, so having a healthy nervous system is a key factor  allowing your body the ability to heal itself, fight infection, remain disease free and function optimally!

While at our office, Dr. Burns will diagnose, and restore function and motion to spinal subluxations as they relate to the most common conditions, i.e. disc herniation, leg or arm pain, neck pain, and headaches. Treating the subluxation reduces the pain, restores function and improves health.  Dr. Burns may also administer a therapy, such as electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound therapy, moist heat or cold.

Chiropractic adjustments are often painless. The area being adjusted may be tender due to the soft-tissue (tendon, ligament and muscle) injury. This is perfectly normal, safe and common.  Because every patient is different, the treatment you will receive will be specific for the level of injury you have. Dr. Burns will guide you through each step, as well as what to expect after the adjustment.

The care you will receive at the Chiropractic Office of Dr. Debra Burns is natural and effective. So many people have come to realize that drugs and surgery are not always the answer; health and wellness are within reach, and chiropractic can be tailored to numerous patient needs, and ages.

Where does it hurt?...And how we can help!
